The 2nd Annual K9 Cancer Walk 4/24/2010 in Elk Grove!
We are supporting the 2010 Estes Park, Colorado walk with a virtual team called Northern California K9 Cancer Walkers. Join our virtual team now! Thank you for helping raise $64,009 to Fight Canine Cancer!!! Join us in April 30th 2011 for the next Elk Grove Walk
All moneys collected go directly to Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign to fund research toward a cure! Last year’s event was organized and funded by the Sacramento Canine Cancer Campaign Volunteers and raised over $20,000 towards canine cancer research. This year, Morris Animal Foundation is organizing the Walk, with support from the Sacramento Canine Cancer Campaign Volunteers and sponsors. The goal for the 2010 K9 Cancer Walk is $30,000. All proceeds will benefit Morris Animal Foundation’s Canine Cancer Campaign. A special thanks to our speakers: Dr. Wayne Jensen, Chief Scientific Officer, Morris Animal Foundation Morris Animal Foundation and the Sacramento Volunteers are working hard to take the K9 Cancer Walk national. Our vision is to encourage and support other dog lovers to host a dog walk fundraiser in their home town to help raise much need funds for canine cancer research. Human Cancer Walks are a very successful way of rallying support and effectively raising money to fund research. In difficult financial times it is even more critical that we dog lovers step up and support research for early detection methods, effective treatments and ultimately a cure.
